Services: FREE screening for Sheboygan preschoolers who are at least three years old who may
have problems which could interfere with learning. Further evaluation may be
requested and special education services may be recommended.

MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA

Services: Provides mental health education to the community, acts as a resource and referral
source, emergency payment toward mental health medication, advocates for treatment
of people with a mental illness, has a large lending library, and runs a variety of
support groups for mental health disorders, as well as, stress, anxiety, & suicide
prevention.

PROGRESSIVE BEGINNINGS, LLC

Services: Occupational, physical, & speech therapy for birth to three, Pediatric (3-19) in
collaboration with the school district, summer camp for persons age 3-21, & support
groups for special needs & autism. Referral from physician is necessary.
Cost: FREE screenings. MA/Badgercare or private insurance pay for services.

 

PROJECT YOUTH

Hours: M-F 9am-5:00pm; hotline 24 hours
Services: Youth & family advocates; crisis intervention; family mediation to resolve family
problems such as: running away, depression, alcohol/drug related problems, & school
issues; 24 hour hotline; temporary emergency shelter; life skills training; various
support groups; & a transitional living program for homeless youth.

RAINBOW KIDS, INC

Services: Support groups offered to children and families who have experienced a significant
loss due to death, divorce, separation, or abandonment. Small group setting that runs
once a week for 14 weeks set-up into three groups: Rainbows for elementary school
aged children; Spectrum for high school aged children; and Prism for adults with
children in the program.
Cost: FREE; a free will offering accept for those in Prism
